Born from practice
The smartTOS team brings more than 25 years of experience in digitising intermodal terminal processes. We know gate, crane and dispatch from daily operations — not just from requirement documents.
For small and mid-sized terminals
The big TOS vendors build for mega ports. smartTOS is made for small and mid-sized intermodal terminals: quick to introduce, modularly extensible, fairly licensed.
A product, not a project
smartTOS is a product with a roadmap, releases and 24/7 operations — not a one-off custom development that stands still after go-live.
From terminal practice to product
smartTOS was not designed on a drawing board — it grew out of years of work on digitalisation projects for intermodal terminals. That experience — which processes a combined-transport terminal really needs, where introductions fail, what helps dispatchers in their daily work — is built into the product today.
Product development is led by Product Owner Helmut Winhofer, who works on smartTOS continuously together with domain experts, UX designers and a dedicated development team at Evolit. Evolit GmbH, based in Vienna, has been developing and operating business-critical software systems for rail, logistics and energy for years — from design and implementation to 24/7 operations.
